Answer honestly and see where you land.
◻︎ Do you need to limit cleaning to overnight or off-hours? If your carpet program requires shutting down a space, blocking off a hallway, or cleaning only when nobody is around, that is a sign your current method is built around long dry times rather than your actual schedule.
◻︎ Do stains or traffic patterns come back faster than they should? If carpets look clean right after a deep clean but soil returns within hours or the same day, that’s usually wickback, water pulling soil deep into the backing during extraction and bringing it back to the surface as the carpet dries.
◻︎ Is your only cleaning method extraction, once or twice a year? If extraction is the entire program, there is a maintenance gap in between. Carpets spend most of the year with no structured care, and that is where they age fastest.
